Course Overview
APHD faculty and students are part of an intellecturally rich and supportive community of scholars at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto passionate about teaching and learning. Guided by the highest standards of scholarship and a commitment to equity and social justice, our students and faculty examine major issues in education, human development and professional practice, answering the critical questions that create action in the professional practice of the hundreds of thousands of teachers, researchers, professionals, policy makers, leaders and influencers who are part of the OISE community world-wide. The Clinical and Counselling Psychology field at OISE prepares students to be scientist-practitioners in the area of counselling and clinical psychology. The field provides students with a firm foundation in both research and clinical skills and develops an understanding and appreciation for the dialectical relationship between the scientific and professional practice of psychology.
