Course Overview
The Master of Health Science (MHSc) in Clinical Engineering is offered by the Institute of Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering (IBBME). It is a two-year, full time program consisting of academic courses, internships, and a research thesis. Through a balanced combination of instruction, interdisciplinary research and practical hands-on training, the program prepares talented engineers to innovate new solutions to clinical challenges, to enhance patient safety, and to optimize the delivery, integration, and management of contemporary technology-mediated healthcare. Established in 1984, the Master of Health Science Program in Clinical Engineering at the University of Toronto was the first of its kind in Canada and continues to be the leading program in the country.
