Course Overview
A distinctive feature of the course is that it is delivered in Albany, in the south-west of Western Australia, an area that is known to be one of the most environmentally diverse, culturally rich regions with an impressive range of natural outdoor recreational opportunities and strong tourism industry partners. The environmental and social impacts of ecotourism are explored through selected case studies. The Master of Ecotourism has a strong emphasis on field work, industry case studies and the development of partnerships with the tourism industry. Graduates will have the ability to manage existing ecotourism enterprises sustainably, as well as design and implement new ventures. Graduates will also be culturally aware and have knowledge of environmental law and policy pertinent to ecotourism.
