This course is not currently recruiting. Due to recent proposed changes in the structure of UK postgraduate dental education, which not only affect eligibility for Royal College of Surgeons qualifications, but also, with the new NHS dental contract, Department of Health dentists with extended skills (DES) status, the University is to re-align our MSc in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry programme, to maximize the opportunities which the aforementioned changes in UK postgraduate dentistry will offer. We believe that this will offer our successful dental postgraduates even greater opportunities to further their careers. Who is the course for? The Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry programme is aimed at GDPs who want to develop the skills needed for restorative dentistry. Learning outcomes: By the end of the course, students will be able to: Think creatively and independently ,Solve problems, Exercise judgement, Communicate clearly and effectively with patients and colleagues, Develop an in-depth understanding of, and the ability to apply, assessment, record taking, diagnostic and case management skills essential to the successful management of standard and more advanced restorative cases
