Course Overview

The University of Alabama School of Law offers two opportunities to pursue graduate LL. M. programs in Business Transactions and Taxation. These unique professional LL. M. programs are designed for outstanding candidates who cannot attend classes on campus.

The two-year program cycle format offers practicing lawyers an educational opportunity to obtain an advanced degree in law without having to pay the expense of living in residence. Courses in the program are taught by distinguished faculty and experienced practitioners not just from Alabama but also from instructors at Emory, Georgia State and other institutions or law firms throughout the Southeast. The LL. M. concentrations in Business Transactions and Taxation are some of the most innovative programs in the country.

The University of Alabama School of Law provides career services to support its graduates and access to available positions through the Law School's alumni network, which includes more than 6, 000 graduates in cities throughout the Southeast. The Taxation curriculum is designed to construct the foundation and proficiencies students need to pursue a sophisticated tax law practice. Through obtaining an advanced degree in tax law, practical skills are developed that supports career growth and preparation for tax practice.
