Part Time Courses for Patent & Intellectual Property Law

Intellectual Property Law deals with the ownership and rights attached to intellectual creations – trademarks, copyrights, designs, and patents. It is a highly-specialised field of legal study, that only became commonplace globally towards the end of the 20th century. Essentially a branch of Civil Law, the law of patents and intellectual property govern the infringement, enforcement, and misappropriation of ideas that are assets. Given the importance of Patents and Intellectual Property to a great many sectors – particularly the media, the tech industry, and in manufacturing – an LLM in Patent Law or Intellectual Property Law is a highly-valued qualification. Many courses provide internships or placements to qualify as Patent Attorneys, or in other specialised roles.
