Museum Studies

Museum Studies involves professional training for museum work, and critical explorations of the theory behind the idea of the museum. A Master’s in Museum Studies will investigate critical debates around the concept of museums, how museums have evolved throughout the ages, the exhibition development, and the relationship between museums and cultural memory. Courses in Museum Studies are interdisciplinary courses involving aspects from fields of studies such as art, management, design, history, archaeology, and anthropology. With a Master’s in Museum Studies, graduates can go into a wide array of careers, such as museum directors, museum librarians, exhibit coordinators, and archivists.
