Part Time Courses for Teaching

Teachers provide formal instruction, allowing students to acquire knowledge, skills, and values. The practice of professional teaching is closely informed by Educational Theory, which seeks to refine Teaching by conducting research, and reflecting upon empirical findings and theoretical models of learning. Qualified Teachers can work with children, teenagers, or adults – in a variety of different contexts, but particularly in schools and colleges. Masters degrees in Teaching (such as the MAT, or Master of Arts in Teaching), are more directed towards qualifying as a professional teacher, than a Masters in Education. As a result of this applied orientation, Teaching Masters tend to incorporate more in the way of workplace training – such as placements – than degrees in Education. National jurisdictions have a different educational system, and it’s well worth thinking about where you’d like to work before choosing which Masters to apply for.
