International Development

International Development focuses on the improvement of quality of life within a society, which in turn helps a country to grow economically. An International Development students will be able to critically evaluate the factors shaping particular development processes and their outcomes, appropriately apply theories and insights from scholarly research to practical issues and asses problems of development policy and practice. Graduates from a Master’s in International Development are well equipped to pursue careers in the public sector or in public policy and development. Roles include researchers, advisers or consultants. Many graduates go on to prestigious careers in the public service or in the NGO/charitable and private sectors, often as policy officers, managers, consultants or development practitioners.
